Its start\u00ading point is a&nbsp;breath\u00adta\u00adking and tre\u00admen\u00addous over\u00adlap hap\u00adpe\u00adning in the real world: a&nbsp;Rus\u00adsi\u00adan mer\u00adcena\u00adry group took Wag\u00adner\u2019s name into an actu\u00adal war col\u00adlapsing the ima\u00adgi\u00adna\u00adry and rea\u00adli\u00adty. Across ele\u00adven sta\u00adti\u00adons, sound, moving image, voices, pro\u00adjec\u00adtions and new\u00adly com\u00adpo\u00adsed music sur\u00adround the visi\u00adtor, who moves through the mate\u00adri\u00adal wit\u00adhout a&nbsp;fixed distance and wit\u00adhout a&nbsp;sin\u00adgle per\u00adspec\u00adti\u00adve from which ever\u00ady\u00adthing resol\u00adves. The space can be ente\u00adred, crossed, left and ente\u00adred again, and every path through it pro\u00addu\u00adces a&nbsp;dif\u00adfe\u00adrent ver\u00adsi\u00adon of the work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bay\u00adreuth is not a&nbsp;neu\u00adtral host for this. Here the work meets Wag\u00adner in the place whe\u00adre his cul\u00adtu\u00adral lega\u00adcy is still being pro\u00addu\u00adced, pre\u00adser\u00adved and con\u00adtes\u00adted, and whe\u00adre fasci\u00adna\u00adti\u00adon, inhe\u00adri\u00adtance, appro\u00adpria\u00adti\u00adon, resis\u00adtance and poli\u00adti\u00adcal mea\u00adning refu\u00adse to sepa\u00adra\u00adte.
