WAGNER RESONANCE — INSTALLATION

Wag­n­er Res­o­nance is an immer­sive exhi­bi­tion by Sound­ing Sit­u­a­tions for the Richard Wag­n­er Muse­um in Bayreuth.

Bridg­ing opera, pol­i­tics, and dig­i­tal cul­ture, the project traces how Richard Wagner’s mytholo­gies echo with­in con­tem­po­rary narratives—from social media myth-mak­ing to glob­al con­flict. Ref­er­enc­ing the sym­bol­ic over­lap between Wagner’s artis­tic uni­verse and the imagery of the Russ­ian mer­ce­nary group bear­ing his name, the work unfolds a dia­logue between mytholo­gies, imag­i­nary and bru­tal real­i­ties.

Through a dynam­ic inter­play of sound, mov­ing image, and spa­tial instal­la­tion, Wag­n­er Res­o­nance cre­ates a mul­ti-sen­so­ry envi­ron­ment. The exhi­bi­tion invites audi­ences to reflect on the pow­er of storytelling—and its entan­gle­ment with ide­ol­o­gy, emo­tion, and vio­lence today.
