WAGNER RESONANCE – INSTALLATION

Wag­ner Reso­nan­ce is an immersi­ve exhi­bi­ti­on by Sound­ing Situa­tions for the Richard Wag­ner Muse­um in Bay­reuth.

Bridging ope­ra, poli­tics, and digi­tal cul­tu­re, the pro­ject traces how Richard Wagner’s mytho­lo­gies echo within con­tem­po­ra­ry narratives—from social media myth-making to glo­bal con­flict. Refe­ren­cing the sym­bo­lic over­lap bet­ween Wagner’s artis­tic uni­ver­se and the imagery of the Rus­si­an mer­cena­ry group bea­ring his name, the work unfolds a dia­lo­gue bet­ween mytho­lo­gies, ima­gi­na­ry and bru­tal rea­li­ties.

Through a dyna­mic inter­play of sound, moving image, and spa­ti­al instal­la­ti­on, Wag­ner Reso­nan­ce crea­tes a mul­ti-sen­so­ry envi­ron­ment. The exhi­bi­ti­on invi­tes audi­en­ces to reflect on the power of storytelling—and its ent­an­gle­ment with ideo­lo­gy, emo­ti­on, and vio­lence today.
