WAGNER RESONANCE – INSTALLATION
150 Jahre Festspiele/50 Jahre Richard Wagner Museum
Neubau des Richard Wagner Museums
Wagner Resonance is an immersive exhibition by Sounding Situations for the Richard Wagner Museum in Bayreuth.
Bridging opera, politics, and digital culture, the project traces how Richard Wagner’s mythologies echo within contemporary narratives—from social media myth-making to global conflict. Referencing the symbolic overlap between Wagner’s artistic universe and the imagery of the Russian mercenary group bearing his name, the work unfolds a dialogue between mythologies, imaginary and brutal realities.
Through a dynamic interplay of sound, moving image, and spatial installation, Wagner Resonance creates a multi-sensory environment. The exhibition invites audiences to reflect on the power of storytelling—and its entanglement with ideology, emotion, and violence today.
